Hi Everybody!
I'm excited to announce my new collaboration with a Colombian designer specializing in Pre-Columbian iconography! Her designs are based on artifacts from the Pre-Columbian cultures inhabiting the geographic area of the modern day nation-state of Colombia, and while she typically works in gold, she has designed an entire line in sterling silver just for Design Imports. All of the icons are based on molds she has taken from actual artifacts in the collection at the Zenu Gold Museum in Cartegena, Colombia - she's the only artist to have been allowed that privilege! - and casts each silver piece individually using a lost wax process. An Exciting Show and on to the Next One!
Hi Everybody!
Just finished up at the Pasadena Bead and Design Show this past weekend, and we're already preparing to head down to Costa Mesa for the Bead and Design Show there! I was very happy to see everyone that came to the show, and I hope to see you all again over August 12th through 14th at the Costa Mesa Hilton for another great, exciting show.
